About Us Psalm 25:4-7
"Show me your ways, O Lord, teach me your paths; guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long. Remember, O Lord, your great mercy and love, for they are from of old. Remember not the sins of my youth and my rebellious ways; according to your love remember me, for you are good, O Lord.
It is amazing what God does when we hear the voice and surrender our life to him. In 1994 my husband had an experience that change the course of his life and our family. My husband a drug addict and a womanizer tired of his life, wanted to take his own. We were already separated and we were going our own ways. I was tired of his life it was so draining to me and our daughters. My husband testimony is this……
It was on a night he was getting back from Rio Grande Texas. He had been in a drug high for the last 60 days and had decided to take his own life; he had already lost everything that mattered most to him. Getting into Freer he stopped at a small store and picked up a quart of beer and he headed for home. I was at my mother’s house with our daughters so we were not home at that time. Near our driveway stood an iron shed and Tuto said, “I can hang myself right under the shed so when Elisa drives in she can see me.“ He drank his beer and snorted some cocaine, he got the rope and threw it around an iron bar. Tuto saw lights coming straight towards him so he got up and at that same moment he heard a soft voice that said, “This is enough!” he wasn’t sure if he heard the voice in his head or coming from his heart. He was deeply intoxicated that night so he reached deep into his to pockets to get some more cocaine, when he felt a slap on his left cheek. He heard the voice again this time with a lot more authority. “The voice of God is amazing! That night I heard the voice of God and his Love, Power and forgiveness overflowed all over me. That evening I was going to end my life and I did! God took that old drug infested life and gave me a new and rewarding life with him.” My husband experience the power and love that so many of us are looking for. Our RISEN SAVIOR has the power to restore and change the course of your life he has the answers, we just need to believe and trust in him alone. The following day my husband went to our Local church but to no prevail, he was searching for someone to explain of what he experienced. One week later he found a Brother in Christ, Monte Chitty at our local Baptist Church. Tuto arrived there and Brother Monte looked at him and said “I have been waiting for you.” “I poured out my heart to him he asked me if I have ever accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior, I said no. He lead me to the sinners prayer and I followed that day. I opened my heart to my SAVIOR. The one thing in life that I desired was woman and drugs and GOD came into my life and changed all that forever.” That light was God that voice was God!

Field of Dreams Christian Ministry was founded by Horacio "Tuto" and Elisa Rodriguez devoted followers/leaders for Christ.
Two months later my children and myself, Elisa, opened our hearts to
Jesus and our life has not been the same. We started going to church in
Alice, Texas in December of 1994. That following month, January of
1995 we started bible Studies at our home with four people. Pastor
Benavides of Alice, Texas would come and preach every Thursday evening.
It increased to 100 with youth and adults; youth would meet upstairs
and the adults would meet downstairs. We all grew in our faith
together. We had youth rallies and revivals for our city and
surrounding areas. Then Tuto was asked to Pastor a church here in our
hometown which I helped him pastor for four years.
Today you
will find my husband an assistant chaplain on occasional Sundays, preaching at local prisons.
As well as us both, at our ranch with loads of deer that has been
generously donated by several ranches in our surrounding areas. The
deer are gutted by their ranches and we haul the deer out. They then
end up at our ranch, with several volunteers we skin and quarter them.
The meat makes it way into Mexico to various prisons, to the less
fortunate and to substance abuse programs around Texas as well. Thank
you Ranches for aiding to Feed our cause; Feeding the Hungry!!
